Hello “Edgewoodies”! I hope you all had a safe and fun summer! Edgewood has its biggest hit ever with “ILLEGAL ALIENS” and “ZOMBIETOWN” is now set for release on DVD on November 20th!
There are many new projects in development (more on that to come soon.)
Finally the “TIME CHASERS ANNIVERSARY DVD SPECIAL EDITION” Re-Release DVD extras and the restored version of the film have been completed! The release date is not set yet but the buzz here is that it will probably be available just in time for Christmas gifting. The film itself will be presented in its Original Theatrical Release version. The extras for the DVD are HUGE with a new Audio Commentary featuring Writer & Director DAVID GIANCOLA and leads MATT BRUCH and BONNIE PRITCHARD. Also included are Deleted Scenes, The original “Behind The Scenes” Docu made for the 1993 release of the film and a NEW ½ Hour Reunion Documentary called “MEMORIES IN TIME” by filmmaker ANDREW GANNON. The film brings back together the cast and crew to reminisce and joke almost two decades after making the film. I have seen some of it and I can tell you it is fascinating to see the cast’s responses to the cult status of the film.
With the long awaited “ZOMBIETOWN”, Director Damon LeMay and Producer Zorinah Juan are going to Premiere at some upcoming Horror festival soon before the DVD release. Producer Juan is still battling for the as yet un-rated film to get an “R” Rating from the MPAA. The dreaded “X” ruling will mean the film will have to be re-edited or will have to be released Un-Rated because of the film’s intense gore. As she has said before; “…for some people the film is just wayyyy too intense.”
The Edgewood feature; “ILLEGAL ALIENS” just keeps getting more and more attention and screened to a raucous crowd as the Closing Night film at the KILLINGTON FILM FESTIVAL and has been specially selected for the BAHAMAS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL this December. The film has already screened out of competition at the prestigious CANNES FILM FESTIVAL.
Edgewood is now happy to announce a pact with Artist View Entertainment to release Internationally three Start-Studded, Big-Budget films made at the studio. The films are now owned by Edgewood and Artist View is representing all rights worldwide. Look at the amazing casts on these films; “RADICAL JACK” (starring BILLY RAY CYRUS & DEE DEE PFEIFFER), “THE NEWCOMERS” (starring KATE BOSWORTH, CHRIS EVANS, JEFF FAHEY, JOSH PECK, PAUL DANO, and CHRIS McCOY), and “PERIL” (starring MORGAN FAIRCHILD, MICHAEL PARE’, and JOHN JAMES). I know Edgewood’s reputation for shrewd casting would pay off someday. SCOTT JONES, President of Artist View has announced that with only a few exceptions, rights to all territories are now available and he began by making a big splash with them at this years CANNES FILM FESTIVAL and will continue at this year’s upcoming AFM (American Film Market).
New England Light & Grip has had a busy summer continuing to supply the very popular STAR TREK-NEW VOYAGES "webisodes" with equipment. Also, another neat production out of many supplied with low-cost equipment by NEL&G is the feature “HOLOCAUST” produced by Penniless Productions and Grimm Guignol. NEW at the Edgewood On-Line store is the Official “Time Chasers” “CASTELTON” T-Shirts! (they have already sold out twice.) Studio Manager MARY BETH FRENCH assures me that more are already on the way and all orders will be met on time. Edgewood is now the EXCLUSIVE source for these cult T-Shirts as Castelton State College has stopped manufacturing them. (they have a new logo…snobs…) Personally I prefer the hip “ILLEGAL ALIENS” T-Shirt they have on sale – I got mine autographed if I promised not to put it on eBay…
